About

SCOTT M. BROWN

A detail-oriented and passionate individual Scott M. Brown has been practicing architecture for over twenty years and has had the luxury of working with a variety of project types and architectural styles in historic New England municipalities such as Cambridge, Concord, Weston, Nantucket, and Newburyport. Although not limited to, the bulk of the office’s experience has been in light frame construction with an emphasis on high-end residential work involving architecturally sensitive renovations and restorations to older properties, as well as new construction, and residential development projects for both private clients and developers. Mr. Brown’s firm has either completed or been intimately involved with a diverse range of institutional, commercial, and residential projects. The firm prides itself on quality design and technical competence, as well as establishing and fostering lasting client relationships.

Mr. Brown began his professional career after graduating from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 1995. He then worked for a number of small architectural firms in the Boston area before launching his own practice in January of 2007. Since then, he has maintained a small but extremely productive architectural practice in the historic City of Newburyport. In slightly over ten years of time, the practice has secured hundreds of commissions of varying scales, types, many with complex permitting challenges, and has developed a strong reputation for sensitive projects that meld with traditional New England contexts.
